TALKING STICK RESORT HOSTED A RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY FOR SALT RIVER PIMA MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY TRIBAL COUNCIL AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT ITS NEW RESTAURANT – TASH

SALT RIVER PIMA-MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY, Ariz. – (Feb. 8, 2021)– Talking Stick Resort, an enterprise of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new restaurant, Tash on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. The event was held exclusively for members of Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community tribal council and Salt River Community Gaming Enterprises Board of Directors before the restaurant’s grand opening on Saturday, Feb. 6.

The community members came together to bless the resort’s new restaurant and recognize the hard work and labor that went into the restaurant’s opening. The night kicked off with special remarks from Talking Stick Resort’s CEO, Dennis Leong, followed by a traditional blessing, ribbon cutting and comments by Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community President, Martin Harvier. Shortly after the ceremony, the members celebrated with appetizers, and small bites from the restaurant’s Mediterranean-inspired menu.

Tash comes from the O’odham language spoken by members of the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community. It is pronounced [TH-O-SH], translates to sun, day or time. The restaurant opened to the public on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 3 p.m. Guests will enjoy a beautiful atmosphere with floor-to-ceiling windows, that open and expand, booth, bar and table seating adorned with colors inspired by an Arizona sunset, and the spirit of food and hand crafted-cocktails. The restaurant also has an expansive patio overlooking stunning views of Camelback mountain.
