Talking Stick Resort’s Award-Winning Restaurant, Orange Sky Reopens
Restaurant Returns with New Chef and New Modernized Menu
SALT RIVER PIMA-MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY, Ariz. (May 13, 2021) Talking Stick Resort, an enterprise owned and operated by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC), today announced the reopening of its signature fine-dining restaurant, Orange Sky on May 12. The restaurant reopens with a revamped menu and under the leadership of new executive chef, Martin Yepez.
“Orange Sky is truly the signature dining experience at Talking Stick Resort, and we know guests have missed it,” said Ramon Martinez, director of public relations for Talking Stick Resort. “We look forward to welcoming them back to the views and ambiance they love, while introducing them to an exciting new menu and cocktail program.”
Taking the helm of the newly reopened restaurant is Chef de Cuisine, Martin Yepez. He brings more than two decades of experience to the position, 10 years of which has been a part of Talking Stick Resort’s culinary team. He used the reopening of Orange Sky as an opportunity to introduce guests to a new menu that is not only inspired by indigenous culture, but also puts a modern twist on the traditional steakhouse. Another priority for Chef Yepez when crafting the menu was the principle of food sovereignty, which prioritizes local, sustainable, and culturally rooted choices around growing and preparing food.
Among the new dishes being introduced as part of Orange Sky’s reopening include
While visiting Orange Sky, guests will experience four elements – earth, water, air, and fire, though the inspired dishes, curated cocktails and ethereal 360-degree views of the Valley. In addition to limited hours of operation and seating, Orange Sky will be following the guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and directives from our local state health officials.
